Youtube: One View Can
YouTube Creators for Change is an ongoing global initiative that spotlights Creators who use the power of video to drive a positive impact on the world. Youtube has always been home to independent creators sharing their own stories of positivity, acceptance and change. We wanted to elevate these messages above the noise, and so we turned to YouTube Creators across the globe – chosen for their passion and educated to creating social change, we collaborated with over 60 Creators from 20 countries, releasing over 90 films that promote tolerance through the “One View Can” campaign, including documentaries, vlogs, comedy skits, animations and more, on topics ranging from self-acceptance to celebrating local cultures.
The campaign was launched on November 12, 2018 with a simple message, that one view, of one video, from one voice has the power to create real change. We sparked dialogue on social media launching on The International Day for Tolerance, through our custom hashflag that went #MyViewCan, where users around the world were able to share how they could create change. We amplified the message through an 8-page spread in the New York Times, and culminated the campaign with an exclusive screening at the United Nations on International Day for Tolerance on November 16, 2018.
